Something about how I got started:

I grew up in the quiet countryside of Kentucky, surrounded by open skies and a deep love for creating beautiful things — whether it was rearranging furniture, planning surprise parties, or color-coding my school supplies (yes, even my linen closet got the royal treatment).

I never set out to become a wedding planner. But planning my own wedding — right next to my best friend in a garage filled with wood scraps and fresh florals — quietly lit a spark. At the time, I thought I was just being hands-on. Looking back? It was the beginning of something bigger.

After helping with a few bridal showers, I dipped my toes into the world of weddings — but it wasn’t until I stepped in as a day-of coordinator for a close friend that everything clicked. I felt a rush. Like it was second nature. I found myself problem-solving on the fly, cueing the ceremony, checking on guests, smoothing out details — and loving every second. When seasoned vendors and guests started asking if I did this professionally… I knew I was on to something.

More than anything, I started this business because I believe couples deserve to feel cared for, seen, and truly present on their wedding day. I’ve been the bride who stayed up the entire night before rewriting a broken timeline because a planner fell short — and I swore I’d never let another couple feel that kind of stress.

Now, with Opal Occasions, I bring organization, creativity, and heartfelt intention to every wedding I plan. Whether we’re designing mood boards, coordinating vendors, or keeping grandma on schedule, I’m here to make your day shine — not just beautifully, but meaningfully.
